5th graders are working with numbers up to the billions and down to the millionths.
#1. Write out a number up to the billions and have your child read it back to you.
Example: 4,903,764,002 “four billion, nine hundred three million, seven hundred sixty-four thousand, two”

#2. Write out a number down to the millionths and have your child read it back to you.
Example: 2.3082 “two and three thousand eighty-two ten-thousandths”
Example: 30.200428 “thirty and two hundred thousand, four hundred twenty eight millionths”
